Justin Hance joined GLS in July 2014 as Task Order Project Manager for USAREUR as well as Director of European Operations. He is one of those people who gets the job done and drives results through collaboration, partnerships, and relationships. With an enthusiastic and genuinely friendly attitude, Justin radiates a sincere passion for delivering value and benefits to his customers and employees alike.
With over 20 years’ experience as a high energy, fiscally conscious, business savvy, and goal-driven leader, Justin approaches each new challenge with a flair for innovation, creative problem-solving, and measured risk-taking to drive consistent bottom-line performance and customer satisfaction.
Justin’s contributions have centered on spearheading development and delivery of linguistic, intelligence, cultural, regional expertise services, operational programs, and improvement activities. More importantly, he has focused on building long-lasting, loyal relationships within the industry. Justin helped deepen coordinating teams of strategic business partners, account executives, performance, and member relations staff to deliver programs, services, and tailored customer solutions.
Prior to GLS, Justin held key leadership roles within reputable large companies working on multi-billion dollar DOD and NATO contracts. Career accomplishments include the direct supervision and oversight of up to 10,000 functional staff and personnel situated in over 20 countries. Justin’s career path includes professional and executive advancements highlighted below:
- 2011-2014-Program Manager and Sr. Counter-Intelligence Officer for Abraxas, Virginia/Afghanistan
- 2010-2011-Project Manager for AECOM supporting SOCOM throughout Afghanistan
- 2007-2010-Director of GLS, Iraq
- 2005-2007-Deputy Director, L-3 Communications, Afghanistan
- 2005-Country Manager, L-3 Communications / Titan, GTMO
Throughout it all, Justin has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to lead through diverse and challenging situations. Justin is a change agent with a proven record of performance that include the turnaround of chaotic and struggling operations; start-up and management of new Delivery Order contracts; and growth and expansion of mature, established operations. His certifications include Six Sigma Black Belt, PRINCE 2, International Project Management Certification, and he is a member of the Project Management Institute.
Prior to commercial and government contracting, Justin served honorably in both the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army with various staff leadership occupations to include Infantry, Special Operations, and Civil Affairs. During his military career Justin deployed to the Middle East, Asia, South America, and areas of operations throughout Europe. Justin is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
A Program Manager with years of proven experience, Justin earned his B.S. in Criminal Law, then pursued his advanced graduate degree awarded in 2011 with an M.B.A in Business and Finance-(Summa Cum Laude).
Today, Justin resides in South Florida with his daughter.
